The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences Publishers is a structural division of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. The department prepares and publishes monographs, academic books, and scientific journals, which are published quarterly in print and online. They feature original academic papers on key issues in biology, chemistry, physics, ecology, energy, philosophy and sociology, geography and geology, medicine, Lithuanian studies, history, history of art, and agricultural sciences. All papers submitted to the journals are peer-reviewed, and their top academic level is maintained by editorial boards consisting of professors, habilitated doctors, and academicians of the highest qualification. The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences Publishers is in charge of the whole process of publishing – editing, layout design, proofreading, management of the printing process, and preparation of electronic publications.
Scientific journals of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences are prepared and published in accordance with the norms of ethics established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Copyright and Related Rights, other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, and the best practice of academic publishing.
Most of the journals of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences are indexed and refereed in Clarivate Web of Science, PubMed, and SCOPUS, and nearly all journals in EBSCO, Index Copernicus, and other more specialized databases.
The Lithuanian Academy of Sciences is a member of the international organization Crossref (www.crossref.org).
