Abstract

This article analyses Lithuania’s position on the disagreements between the leaders of exiled Ukrainian organisations. It highlights the aspects due to which Lithuanian politicians and the members of the Lithuanian Rifle Union cooperated on an equal footing with the organisations of Yevhen Konovalets and Yevhen Petrushevych in 1927. It identifies the reasons for the intensification of the cooperation between Lithuanian and Ukrainian paramilitary organisations after Petrushevych left the Ukrainian National Democratic Alliance in 1927. The author also looks into Lithuania’s position on other Ukrainian organisations: he singles out and discusses the appeal of the All-Ukrainian National Council to Juozas Brėdikis, secretary of the diplomatic legation of Lithuania in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
