Abstract

Rare earth elements in three groups of Nida-VI borehole sediments were determined. Obtained data could be employed for more detailed further studies of the southeastern Baltic Holocene deposits. Si and Al were the main criteria for categorization of the cross-section. The North American Shale Composite shale-normalized along with supplemented original analytical data is presented in the article. Possible relationship of the rare earth elements distribution to the origin of the sediments is discussed briefly.
