Neo-Nomads in the Digital Space: Mobile Identity in the Age of Informational Rhizome

Abstract

Contemporary reality, marked by dynamism, rhizomatic structures, and digital technologies, gives rise to a new model of human existence – digital nomadism. Combining poststructuralist analysis, a philosophical-cultural approach, and a hermeneutic interpretation of digital culture, the authors argue that the digital nomad is not merely a new lifestyle, but a profound anthropological and cultural shift that transforms conceptions of identity, community and reality itself. The conclusions emphasise the processual, fragmented and technologically dependent nature of digital identity, which manifests within an antinomic, mosaic and ‘elusive’ cultural space.
