Abstract

The article analyzes how visual media present information and influence the audience. The term of propaganda is reviewed to understand its modern origin and value in the 20th century political life and mass media. The article discusses cultural symbols, stereotypes and the representation value in animation. Specific analysis of animation shows how even animation shorts can function as propaganda.
