Sociology of energy security and risk society
Abstract
The article aims at defining the object of sociology of energy security from the sociological and anthropological points of view. Sociology of energy security is part of a wider – environmental – sociology; therefore, here the same sociological perspectives as in environmental sociology analysis could be used. The article discusses how energy security can be analysed from the objectivistic (U. Beck) and subjectivistic (M. Douglas,
M. Thomson, A. Wildavsky) points of view. Such analysis opens the possibility of a typology of the potential perception of social groups and behavioral differences and predicts their different behavior.
