Integration of the disabled into the labour market: situation assessment and employment opportunities

Abstract

One of the labour market problems is people with disabilities. Especially important conditions for social integration and mobility of the working age disabled in the labour market are their activity increase, which can be assessed based on current changes. Analyzing changes of the disabled people situation in the labour market, the statistical data are of great importance. However, there is a lack of relevant information about the
target group situation. Therefore, consideration of the labour market situation is confined to the data of the Lithuanian Labour Exchange. This article assesses the disabled people situation in the labour market and their integration opportunities, analyses the employment policy measures for disabled people. The analysis is based on scientific literature, statistical data analysis and the results of the disabled sociological survey.
