Abstract
The condensation reaction between benzaldehyde and bicyclo[3.3.1]nonanones in the presence of solid NaOH performed upon grinding without any solvent resulted in the corresponding α, β-unsaturated derivatives. These compounds were used as precursors for fused pyrazole and bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane derivatives.
