Immobilization of urease on mesoporous materials such as SBA-15 with a functional surface layer

Abstract
The template method was used to synthesize mesoporous polysiloxane material of SBA-15 type, which was subsequently modified in ethanol solution with primary and secondary amino groups, and thiol groups. Then, urease was immobilized by adsorption on the surface of the obtained carriers. It was determined that the nature of the functional groups on the surfaces of the carriers affects the kinetics of adsorption, the degree of binding, and residual enzyme activity.
